Here is what this work actually runs in Greensboro. We would rather put real numbers in front of you than make you ring round for three quotes to find out.
| What the job involves | Greensboro price range per awning frame |

| Frame repair: rewelding, bracket, outrigger | $150 – $500 |
| Fabric recover, small to standard bay | $279 – $1,295 |
| Fabric recover, 12 ft x 10 ft frame, marine acrylic | $858 – $1,122 |
| New medium fixed awning, fabricated and installed | $1,500 – $5,000 |
These are published national figures for one awning, and the low end skews residential because commercial recover pricing is rarely posted. They exclude lift rental, sidewalk permits, sign permits, custom graphics, and after-hours labor. Large marquee and multi-bay runs are quoted only after a field measure. The typical column in the last two rows is interpolated between published low and high figures.
Solution-dyed acrylic and heavy laminated vinyl cost several times what economy polyester does, and carry five to ten year warranties instead of one or none. On a frame you plan to keep, the cheap fabric is the expensive choice.
A frame reachable from a ladder inside a parking lot is a different job from one over a public sidewalk that needs a lift, a right-of-way permit, and lane control. Access can add more than the fabric costs.
One line of standard-font copy is cheap. Multi-color logos, halo effects, and backlit translucent panels require separate art files, color matching, and sometimes a sign permit with a landlord design review before fabrication starts.
Rust at the wall brackets and cracked welds are usually invisible until the old cover comes off. Reputable quotes name an hourly rate for frame work found mid-job rather than pretending none will be needed.
A flat slope with four bars is fast. Domes, quarter-barrels, waterfall valances, and any curved perimeter mean more pattern pieces, more sewing, and more stretch fitting on the frame.
Removal and reinstall during closed hours protects sales but pushes labor into premium time. Some owners cut this by staging the recover around an existing closed day rather than paying a night differential.
When one quote comes in far under the others, it is worth asking what has been left out. Usually it is the preparation — and that is the part that decides whether the work lasts or fails early.
